BIRTHDAY STAYCATION AT FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES

I kicked off my birthday weekend at the Downtown Nashville Fairfield Inn & Suites! I have visited this Fairfield Inn numerous times but only to the eat/drink at the hotel’s Up Rooftop Lounge. I have never stayed in any of the rooms so I was very happy to enjoy a sponsored stay for my birthday!

After arriving and dropping my car off at the valet, I headed inside to check-in and was happy to hear that I had a room on a high floor with a city view. I unpacked and got settled then went downstairs to explore the hotel – I checked out the dining area, gym, whirlpool and grabbed a snack before making my way back upstairs to rest before my friends arrived. The main column in the lobby featured a map of the surrounding area which I thought was very creative and helpful!

I jumped in the bed….and let me just say this bed is So. Comfortable. I sipped a little wine, did a little work, then took a power nap before I was called by one of my besties who had just arrived to the hotel. We laughed and talked and as she started to get ready a few more of my friends arrived!

Thank goodness there was ample counter space in the bathroom for all of our makeup and hair necessities!

After more girl talk and an in-room dance party, we went to the 8th floor to grab a drink at Up Lounge before heading to an art event. All of the bartenders were super friendly and wished me a happy birthday! As I mentioned before, I have been to Up several times. I always get what my friends and I call ChampVodkas – a combo of champagne, vodka, and fruit…and this time was no different. Our bartender added strawberry puree as our fruit and topped it off with a strawberry garnish! DELICIOUS!

We toasted it up and shared more laughs before making our way to the event. Because of work schedules, only one of my friends was able to stay the night and yes, she agrees that the beds are beyond comfortable! She had to wake up fairly early, but luckily, I was able to sleep in. Since breakfast did not end until 9:30 a.m. on Friday, I hopped on the elevator to head downstairs around 9:00 to grab breakfast. There were options for everyone: waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, cereal and various juices.

If you needed breakfast on-the-go you were covered too with a “Stay Amazing” brown bag special which included a granola bar, fruit, and water!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown Nashville/Gulch and I will be doing another staycation there very soon!
