4th Annual Grind Pretty Fest

The 4th Annual Grind Pretty Fest took place in Atlanta, GA, and it was nothing short of a phenomenal weekend. CEO and Founder, Mimi Johnson put together a weekend filled with true women empowerment, networking, delicious food and great music! I had the pleasure of being the Pink Carpet Host for the weekend and chatted with guests and honorees about their journeys, advice they would give to young ladies entering their respective industries, and of course How/Why Do You Grind Pretty.

On Day 1 of the fest, the morning kicked off with Britteny Floyd-Mayo a.k.a. Trap Yoga Bae leading a fun and lit yoga session. Then, it was time for the panels and fireside chats. GEMS WERE DROPPED! Women who are at the top of their fields like, Stormi Steele - founder of Canvas Beauty, Dr. Mary Seats a.k.a. Mz. Skittlez - Marketing Genius, and Santia Deck - history making athlete took the stage to share not only their testimony but also actionable steps on how to reach your goals.

The iconic 90s group, 702 were this year’s Music Honorees, and they SHUT IT DOWN on Saturday evening during their performance. Everyone was on their feet as they sang their top hits. Guests also enjoyed a performance by Gloss Up - who is also the most recent covergirl for Grind Pretty magazine and Jade Novah.

Day 2 kicked off with a mindfulness journaling session presented by Hallmark Mahogany then brunch was served! As guests enjoyed food, mimosas and mingling, DJ Princess Cut had the vibes right. After brunch it was time for the pitch competition and to honor this year’s Visionaries
