Street Interviews: Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter
Beyoncé has brought attention to some very talented, Black Country Artists with the release of Cowboy Carter. Artists featured include Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, Shaboozey, and Willie Jones. I have had the pleasure of seeing Reyna Roberts perform during CMA Fest 2022, and from that moment she had me locked in as a fan.
I braved the craziness of Broadway in downtown Nashville, to speak with Honky Tonk goers about their thoughts on Beyoncé’s new Album. Everyone I interviewed liked or loved the album. There were a few people who had strong opinions that “she ain’t country” but of course those people shouted their views and kept walking. Ironically, Queen Bey has said that this is not a Country Album but a Beyoncé Album.
