Radisson RED Minneapolis

I recently visited Minneapolis for the first time to co-host the Blogger Xchange, and I was not sure what to expect. Let's just say before day 2 ended, I was already planning my return trip! I am happy that I was able to work with the Radisson RED Minneapolis. The new Radisson RED concept caught my attention because it targets art, culture, design and fashion lovers - which pretty much describes me!

You enter through massive red doors into a lobby that features a floor to ceiling screen with guest selfies! I am not ashamed to say I took a selfie almost every time I entered/left the property. This screen is more than a selfie station. It has several selection options including restaurants and nightlife near the hotel.

To the right of the lobby is the OUIBar + KTCHN. They offer daily breakfast and dinner. Although the hotel does not have room service, you can download the Radisson RED app and place your order for convenience. One of the reasons I love this hotel so much is because they emphasize the city they are in. The food and beer is locally sourced. In the dining area there is a large mural that features crows which seemed random to me given the vibrant red and yellow decor. However, I learned that every winter thousands of crows flock together in the city and it resembles Hitchcock's The Birds - another neat local aspect and talking point with the bartenders!

I stayed in a studio king that had The. Most. Comfortable. Bed! The rooms feature oversized windows with blackout shades for those who like to sleep in. They also come with 55-inch TVs that you can pair to your phone. So you can instantly watch Netflix, Hulu and even scroll through Instagram if you have the apps! A large closet is in every room along with a refrigerator and desk with several seating options. In the bathroom you will find the tiles on the shower wall shaped into a deer and a fun word search on the main wall. The mirror has what they call "Love Yourself Lighting" which I think is a great name - It is back lit with LED lights which assures you leave with flawless make up!

All in all I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson RED Minneapolis and am eager to visit the other Radisson RED locations to see how they incorporate local flare into the properties.
